Very large I. Wilson honing steel circa 1890 in excellent condition.  Forged and ground in Sheffield, England in the golden age of knife making.  I. Wilson of Sycamore St in Sheffield supplied Lewis and Clark with knives for their expedition in 1804.  A very old and prestigious company.  Re-fit with antler handle and silver mounts by Brian Persico.

Used to hone the edges of fine kitchen knives.
